MagMod is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team. As the Accountant, this person will have the opportunity to have your hand in building new processes and improving existing ones. Their work will boost MagMod forward and the impact of it will be seen each day. Best of all, the Accountant won’t be siloed into one function of accounting, but instead will get the opportunity to contribute to the success of MagMod with their broad range of responsibilities across the entire Finance department. What Successful Performance Looks Like

  • Define and document monthly close procedure
  • Consistently deliver accurate and on time month-end closes
  • Prepare reports and data on schedule for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings
  • Become an expert in NetSuite’s accounting functions

Specific Job Duties

  • Enter, map, and process daily transactions
  • Manage A/P process and vendor invoices
  • Manage A/R process and receipt of payments
  • Complete all accounting functions related to purchase orders, vendor payments, and receipt of inventory
  • Oversee sales tax collection and remittance process
  • Organize and reconcile purchase receipts
  • Review and audit transactions for accuracy
  • Identify complex accounting issues and present solutions
  • Analyze and prepare financial analysis as requested
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Candidate Requirements

  • 4 year degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3 or more years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in accounting software
  • Understanding of GAAP

Preferred Candidate Skills

  • 5 or more years experience in similar role
  • Experience in an E-Commerce company, specifically with consumer goods
  • Experience with ERP
  • Comfortable in Mac environment
  • Comfortable with G-Suite

Other Desired Skills/Traits

  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Curious appreciation for classic Nintendo games

COMPENSATION: $45,000-$60,000 DOE
